About the team behind GazeDriver
Passionate owners behind GazeDriver.
GazeDriver is developed by Eyemind ApS, a family-run company founded by partners Martin Sølvmose and Kim Søborg.
Eyemind has emerged from a specific need to create a mobility solution that does not require physical control. Martin's son has cerebral palsy, and none of the existing solutions could provide him with mobility. With GazeDriver, we have changed that and consequently altered his possibilities and future. Now he and many others - some for the first time in their lives - can move around as they wish. As Martin puts it:
At Eyemind, we are passionate about helping many more people like my son. Our mission is to provide mobility to individuals worldwide, as long as they can control their eyes.
From 2021, the ownership circle expanded as the Elsass Foundation became a co-owner of Eyemind. With the foundation's involvement, the company gained substantial knowledge about cerebral palsy, along with extensive insights into business development and an international perspective. The Foundation has been a significant asset to Eyemind ApS, supporting the high quality and safety that are fundamental elements behind the development of GazeDriver.
The steering committee behind Eyemind: A strong support
In 2021, a steering committee was established for Eyemind. Initially, the purpose of the steering committee was to support the company's development of GazeDriver and the process towards getting the product approved as medical equipment. Following the approval of GazeDriver as medical equipment in 2023, the role of the steering committee is to support the development of the business and the internationalization process for Eyemind.
